Dear
Friends and Colleagues:
I am very pleased
to inform you that registration is now open for the upcoming
Provincial Conference: Communities Working Together
to End Violence Against Women, funded by the
Ontario government, to be held February 25 – 27, 2008
at Bingemans Conference Centre, Kitchener, Ontario.
Join leaders and professionals from the community services,
health, education and justice sectors to explore leading edge
approaches to eliminating violence against women and to enhance
your learning across sectors. An anticipated attendance of
up to 1,000 delegates from across Ontario will provide an
excellent networking and educational opportunity.
I am delighted that Naomi Judd will provide the keynote address
at our opening banquet on February 25th, 2008. Five-time Grammy
Award winning singer/songwriter, actress, and talk show host,
Ms. Judd is a former domestic violence victim who has spoken
extensively about her personal experience. The recent call
for papers for the provincial conference has received an overwhelming
response, which will result in a stellar list of speakers
at plenary and workshop sessions on February 26th and 27th,
2008.
I encourage you to register now through our conference website
at: www.communitiesworkingtogether.ca
as space is limited. I look forward to seeing you at the conference.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about the conference
registration call Janice at 1-800-625-7925 or visit the website.
Sincerely,

Cathy Brothers
